These tools exist because the questions they answer come up constantly: is this article too hard for my class, what level am I actually at, how many English words do I know, and how fast do I have to read to finish the IELTS reading paper on time.
All four run entirely inside your browser. Nothing you paste is sent to a server, nothing is stored, and there is no request limit because there is no request. That also means they keep working offline once the page has loaded.
They are honest about their own limits. A level estimate from a paragraph of text is not the same thing as a placement exam, and every tool tells you when it does not have enough data to be sure.
